Statement on COVID-19

UPDATED: 04/29/2020

As defined by state and federal agencies, mental health facilities are designated as an ESSENTIAL BUSINESS to stay open during current ordinance of social distancing.

Hence, WE ARE OPEN and operational. Our office hours remain the same.

We are available BOTH on-site and by virtual telehealth.

When possible, we encourage adopting telehealth services. But, if your treatment or session needs to be on-site, we will continue to be here and available to support your mental health needs to the best of our abilities.

If you have questions, the quickest way to receive a response to your question is to email us at TMS@LHPSYCH.COM, instead of calling our office.

For on-site visits, we encourage adopting social distancing and mask wearing measures in the office.

Although our physical office will continue to be open, to protect other patients, our staff and providers, we will respectfully send individuals home if person displays any of the following:

  • Symptoms of fever, persistent and progressive cough, loss of smell/taste, and other flu-like symptoms

  • Report recent travel to high risk areas

  • Been exposed to person positively diagnosed with COVID-19

We also understand that a disease outbreak like this can cause tremendous stress and anxiety. The CDC and other health agencies have provided the following suggestions:

  • Avoid excessive exposure to media coverage of COVID-19.

  • Take care of your body. Take deep breaths, stretch or meditate. Try to eat healthy, well-balanced meals, exercise regularly, get plenty of sleep and avoid alcohol and drugs.

  • Make time to unwind and remind yourself that strong feelings will fade. Take breaks from watching, reading, or listening to news stories. It can be upsetting to hear about the crisis and see images repeatedly. Try to do some other activities you enjoy to return to your normal life.

  • Social distancing does not mean emotional distancing. So, continue to connect with others via email, text, phone, and video. Share your concerns and how you are feeling with a friend or family member. Maintain healthy relationships.

  • Maintain a sense of hope and positive thinking.

We will continue to closely monitor ordinance and recommendations from federal and state agencies for information and guidance regarding COVID-19. Our focus is meeting your needs while also keeping everyone safe.

Your well-being is our highest priority, and we appreciate the trust you place in us. On behalf of the entire Lighthouse team, we wish you safety, positivity and hope as you navigate through this difficult time. Remember, social distancing does not mean emotional distancing. Hence, continue to preserve those emotional connections with loved ones via email, text, chat, phone, and video.
