A little bit about Peter...
Peter received a BA in Psychology from ASU and a Masters Degree in Counseling from NAU. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). He has worked in the behavioral health field for over 16 years in the outpatient and residential setting, working with individuals, families and groups. He utilizes a multifaceted therapeutic approach, including EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT skills and self-regulation skills. He recognizes the most "successful" approach to healing is a customized approach that best meets the needs of the client. He believes that empathy, a strong therapeutic relationship and unconditional positive regard are the most important factors in facilitating change.
