The City of Chandler Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Division proudly presents the “Building Better Mental Health” series. This comprehensive series covers a variety of topics related to mental health and wellbeing and is open to all members of the community. Given the current mental health pandemic, the mission of the series is to increase mental health understanding and intervention, while also reducing the stigma through awareness, education, and advocacy.  Each event is designed to provide participants with the skills, information and/or resources they need to support themselves, friends, families, and others in mental wellness.

The first part of this series is a collaboration with Lighthouse Psychiatry to present Mental Health Symposium: Demystifying the Science of Mental Health. This symposium will provide an opportunity to have thoughtful and open dialog between professionals, parents, community members, community resources, and educators to advance positive mental health, as well as, learn about the science and treatment of mental health disorders.
